Early orthodontics & airway

Watching how little jaws grow.

Early orthodontics is already part of care here: we assess how teeth and jaws are developing while baby teeth are still around, and guide what we can, early. And if you have breathing or sleep concerns, we can talk those through too.

For parents

At regular checkups we look at how your child's teeth are coming in and how their jaws are growing. Catching things early — a habit that's moving teeth, a jaw that's growing unevenly, teeth that need room — can mean simpler guidance now instead of bigger treatment later. We'll always tell you what we're watching, and why.

For kids

“We peek at how your teeth are growing — like a progress report for your smile.”

What happens

Early assessment

We look at how teeth are coming in and how the jaws are developing, starting while baby teeth are still around.

Watched over time

Growth is compared visit to visit, so small changes are spotted early — and you'll always know what we're watching.

Gentle early guidance

Habit help and simple, interceptive steps when they'd make a real difference. If your child needs more later, we'll talk timing honestly.

Airway, talked through

Worried about mouth breathing, snoring or restless sleep? Tell us. We can evaluate, talk it through with you, and refer when needed.

Parents ask

When should my child have an early orthodontic assessment?

As part of their regular checkups. We watch growth at every visit, and if an early assessment would help, Dr. Dawood will talk you through it.

Do you treat airway or sleep problems?

We can evaluate and talk through concerns like mouth breathing and snoring, and refer you to the right specialist when needed.
